Celebrating SDG Week

March 2-6 was SDG Action and Awareness Week 2026, designated by the University Global Coalition to inspire action towards the goals on campuses and in local communities. SDG Week inspired action around the world, including in the Atlanta area.
On Wednesday, March 4, RCE Greater Atlanta collaborated with the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) at Georgia Tech to have a table at the Community Market on Tech Green promoting both the RCE and the new EAS Plant Library. The Plant Library is run by students in the EAS 1600 majors section lab, and it collects containers, such as coffee cups and yogurt containers, and plants to be propagated. Once the new plants are ready to take, they are available for free on a first come first serve basis in the EAS lab (Clough 357). For this event, the EAS 1600 majors section students put together slides about how the Plant Library relates to the SDGs.
