Get Involved with RCE Greater Atlanta!
Become a member
Membership is the core of the RCE Greater Atlanta network, as members ultimately control the direction and execution of the network. Membership is open to all organizations, institutions, and individuals in the Greater Atlanta region who are interested in the network’s vision, mission, and goals and committed to our guiding principles (see our Roadmap for more details).
A member of the RCE Greater Atlanta Network is an individual who is actively involved in the network by participating in at least one action group or committee, regularly attending meetings, and remaining up to date with RCE communications from the Google Group. We would love for you to become a member of RCE Greater Atlanta, so please fill our our Membership Application to apply. Applications can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed monthly by current RCE members. Benefits include:
- Connecting with sustainability professionals and students in the Greater Atlanta region
- Learning of sustainability-related opportunities related to members’ fields of interest
- Permission to share information in the Google Group
- Access to the Membership Directory and network Google Drive
- Ability to assume leadership positions within the network
- Consideration for network recognition and awards
To maintain membership status, members must renew their membership yearly by completing the Annual Membership Survey sent in January by the Membership Manager.
RCE Greater Atlanta is currently creating a new governance structure to maintain the network’s core functions. Please email RCEGreaterAtlanta@gmail.com if you have any questions and/or are interested in getting involved with network coordination.
Action Groups & COMMITTEES
Most RCE work is done through Action Groups. The primary function of Action Groups is to carry out the majority of our network’s ongoing projects, in ways that advance network goals and demonstrate network principles in action. Each Action Group has its own general focus and functions independently, but its interests and work may overlap with other Action Groups. To join an Action Group and get involved with their projects, check out the Action Groups page for more information.
Members also have the opportunity to support network coordination by joining different committees to create effective marketing & communications strategies, review membership applications, and increase youth engagement. Please see the bottom of the Action Groups page for more information.
