RCE Americas Regional Meeting

RCE004-americasmtg-fbevent

Dates: September 26 2023 - September 29 2023

RCE Greater Atlanta is excited to be hosting the RCE Americas Regional Meeting this year! The theme of this year's conference is "Youth Engagement -- Empowering Our Youth to Be Changemakers." This meeting will provide an opportunity for RCEs in the region to showcase youth engagement and youth network activity, building on the already engaged coalition of youth across RCEs in the Americas. In addition, we will follow-up on previous conversations and actions agreed upon at the 2022 meeting related to the RCE Americas governance structure. This meeting is intended to be an in-person meeting, with provisions made for a virtual option for those unable to travel to Atlanta.

Youth are the future; RCE Greater Atlanta has made youth engagement a priority since its inception. College students and young professionals from Metro Atlanta and North Georgia have formed a strong network of changemakers who engage in multiple initiatives. Students from multiple institutions share leadership and collaborate to develop and implement programs and projects with community partners. This network of engaged youth brings energy, action, and results to community projects, with their positive impact being felt by the communities they serve.

We are excited to be hosting a variety of panels and guest speakers from all across the RCE Network, highlighting the work of young changemakers across the Americas. The event will be hosted primarily on the Georgia Tech campus at the Bill Moore Student Success Center from September 26th through the 29th. Each day, events will begin between 8 and 9 am with welcome remarks and presentations from RCE Greater Atlanta. The afternoon sessions will feature various speakers, networking events, and even optional tours of the city!

Registration for in-person attendance closes Friday, September 8th at 11:59 EST. Registration for online attendance closes Friday, September 13 at 11:59 EST.
